A bit more details, A Special Event I created for CTRF during the 2025 Season.
During winter I went to visit a friend from the faire, I have known her for quite a while. She sells really nice soaps, her creativity is amazing and I don’t think I tell her enough. Here’s Her business page in case you are wondering.
I finally had a chance to meet her husband, although I have met him before, very briefly a few seasons ago at another faire. This time I actually had time to get to know him. It also gave me the chance to really see her, during the faire season we don’t get much quality time and it depends if you stay overnight too.
On that note, we had our dinner and he busted out some of his favorite stash of whiskies. Me and my husband have tried plenty over the years but nothing like what he had. In fact when we went to his basement, the entire room from floor to shelves and all around their laundry area, a bar and even unopened boxes. Whiskey, Whiskey everywhere!
Once we had our tastings, and I probably felt a bit buzzed. An idea struck me, we should have this experience at the faire. It would bring a different vibe for the classy crowd looking to escape into a private limited seating event, a little grub and socializing.
Her husband inspired me, with the way he talked about the flavors, the complexity of the smells, the draw of tastings, color and distilling process. I believed he had already done this before. This was his new passion, a more recent adventure.
I was experiencing what I do to others but with food. My passion is baking and creating different dishes or ones that I love to share. Whether it’s about my culture (hispanic roots) or exploring and experimenting with other cuisines, like Asian or Indian.
Either way, I was fascinated by his passion, I wanted more. I wanted anyone who would like to experience what I had but with the faire fun. Dressed up, as a character, a whole show!
I stared him right in the face and said, “you’ll see, I’ve got some plans brewing.” He laughed and probably thought nothing of it. I mean we just met and already I felt like we were friends.
Now that you have the origin story, I went through my plans a few months later, created a party, set up a meeting and bought the food. He brought his outfit and whiskey. After the demonstration we blew everyone away! Success, I was happy to see my plans become reality.
That was just the beginning. For the next few months I did all the leg work to get a permit to serve in the state, construct an entire event. Set it up with every detail in mind. What you are about to see is the end result of that effort. Time well spent, praise beyond my belief. Every glass poured, every table eventually filled. Each and every group hoping to see us back next year!
In the words of my showman, Mr Whiskey party host. It’s not about the drink, its those that you share it with. I’ll cheers to that any day of the week.
Now the details: Every week was different themes. Every charcuterie spread with fresh ingredients and meticulous preparation.
I made this insane flyer, posted it throughout the faire with multiple vendors. When you visit faire, we have a community unlike any other, a village of artisans and crafters that support each other through it all.

The vendors who helped me, in part were the reason for my successful run. Posting this flyer at their booth, spreading the word. Coming by to tell me how awesome everything was. All the love, help and feedback I received. I enjoyed every moment of it.
Looking back at all the mornings spent getting ice for my charcuterie supplies, going shopping every week for those high end select whiskies and snacks. Creating my booth with each week passing better decorations, different layouts, mini tables, more chairs and tables and WHISKEY BARRELS!
This for me was big, I added something not in the original design. I went from one to 7 barrels. Most of which were from a Jim Bean distillery. My vendor friend John, here’s his wife’s business page. He had posted this offer on our merchants community page.

I immediately jumped on the offer, if there’s one thing I’ve learned about working at a unique place like this, go all the way or don’t go at all! It was a pretty bold move now that I look back on it. I went from purchasing 1 to 7!!!
I saw the vision, and because of him, I’ll never forget the comments I received for having them at my booth. The good neat set up, tavern-esk immersion. From a water dispenser holder, to my host’s main table to set up the drinks. During our other special events, it became the round table everyone shared good times with friends and other rennies.
To make these events even more magical, we added a bonus Whiskey tastings, After dark special. For an evening, an additional 3 hours of the faire being open later until 930pm. Our booth was open, pub snacks and water available.
Think of it as a private party, club lights, music playing and whiskey tastings pouring. This time you get to choose from every previous weekend whichever smelled amazing or you wanted to explore. From anyone who doesn’t know anything about whiskey to the connoisseur.
I had a few opportunities to take a final photo, ones that I will cherish and show off anytime I mention my story about the time I created something special in a place I love to come back every year to enjoy. The people, the vendors, the fun. See ya’ll again real soon to do it all over again. HUZZAH!
This event is dedicated to my husband, we both enjoy delicious whiskey.

And to My friends who were always there to help me when I needed it most, I didn’t even have to ask. Thank you, looking forward to next season.
